Help Ashawn Davis' Family in Their Time of Need

I am setting this fundraiser up for Ashawn Davis, a 13-year-old in the Edgewater neighborhood who was murdered on the 6000 block of Kenmore on August 12th. The suspects are still at large.

This GoFundMe is set up at the request of the family and it goes directly into his mother’s account for any expenses she may have to support her family after losing Ashawn, as well as cover funeral expenses. Due to this violent loss, Ashawn’s mother, sisters, and family are going to have an emergency relocation for their safety.

Ashawn was a beloved brother, son, grandson, and nephew. He loved life. According to his uncle, Shawn Childs, he always had a smile on his face and was full of life. Ashawn loved to help others and was a good student at Swift Elementary School, where he played on the basketball team. Ashawn was also involved in violence interruption through his uncle Shawn’s organization, House of Hope.

I never met Ashawn, but hearing stories and talking to his mother and uncle, I wish I had. He was an amazing neighbor, classmate, teammate, and kid.
