Help Asherz stay out of jail

Hey guys! 

I will be super blunt. This has been difficult enough. I need money. 

In 2018, I was put on a payment plan for owing many years on my city taxes. Which is another story for another day. But. Things were fine. I was paying them. 

In February 2020, I was laid off from my job and then the pandemic happened. My life has been in a whirlwind of uncertainty ever since. But devastation struck when I was hit with a court summons. The city is now pressing charges for the remainder of the taxes and I have until July 6th to pay them in full or be hit with felony charges. 

I owe a total of $1,078. I am only asking for half because I feel bad enough asking at all. 

I have never had any legal trouble. I have also not been in this much financial crisis in over 10 years. I’m a single parent just trying to chase my dreams and, ya know, not become a felon. 

Feel free to ask any questions you may have. I don’t have proof of the amount because it doesn’t say on the summons since this is now a criminal case as opposed to a lawsuit. But I have spoken with the tax division and they will dismiss charges only if the balance is paid in full.
