Help Ashleigh Kick Cancers Butt!
Donation protected
I'm Brie and my baby sister was diagnosed with Stage IV Hepatocellular Carcinoma in June of 2021. We went to the ER thinking she was having back pain from a recent move and came out with our world changed. Doctors are all perplexed because this type of cancer typically only happens to people who develop cirrhosis from alcohol or from viral hepatitis, none of which she has. She is a medical unicorn, but for all the wrong reasons. My sister is the strongest person I know and is fighting this terrible disease for her daughter, my niece Kayleigh who recently turned 3. The fight is not easy nor cheap. Insurance only covers what is FDA approved and medication co-pays are adding up. Not to mention the emergency hospital stay that was recently incurred. We are now on treatment option #2 as the first round of immunotherapy didn't work. She started chemo a couple of weeks ago and that is what landed her in the hospital. Ashleigh is not able to work and we are all taking turns caring for her, but I want to try and give this young family peace of mind. If you can help with any donation to this fight, it would be greatly appreciated. This is not something we'd ever thought we'd have to do, but in the grand scheme of things, I'm sure its not something anyone thinks they'll have to do. If you can donate, please say a prayer for her and the family. If you could please share her story that would be appreciated too.
