Help Ashley B Artisticworks Build a Creative Hub

Donation protected
Ashley B Artisticworks, a local potter creating functional art, has big dreams. We started as a husband and wife duo in 2020. After losing our jobs during the pandemic, everything that we thought was stable wasn't. So we looked inward and jumped in. We opened up Ashley B Artisticworks and began the work of throwing, carving, glazing, and firing many works of functional art. We would set up at the Salem Saturday Market every Saturday and sell our wares. Through this process, we've gotten to know so many amazing people. We've gotten to connect and stretch our roots as we have only been met with enthusiasm and love for our craft.

During this process, we also learned that Salem is missing something. Salem is missing a place where creatives can gather, learn, and feel seen. A place where curiosity is the driving force. We've been listening and we're ready to make it happen. Ashley B Artisticworks is going to be opening up a studio space for all. The space will have retail with Ashley B's work as well as other local artists and artisans. It will have a calendar full of creative classes mostly focusing on the pottery process, but also hosting other artists who will share their process. The classes will range from easy drop-in 2-hour bite-sized lessons to full 8-week courses. Free play will be available for those needing studio space or those who just like to play. This is going to be a buzzing place where all are welcome. Together we'll explore our creative potential. Together we'll learn, grow, and connect.

Your donation will help Ashley B and her team acquire the necessary tools and equipment, secure a location, and provide 3 lucky winners with a six month Free Play membership. Our goal is to not only create a successful business but to also give back to our community. We are aiming for a spring opening date of March 1st and to be located at 980 Commercial St SE, Salem, OR. Right next to GreenSpaceDesigns by Jude!

If you can and you align with our vision and agree that Salem needs more artistic places of refuge, please consider donating.
