Help Ashley Fight Ovarian Cancer
Donation protected
In mid-December, Ashley was admitted to the ER with abdominal pain and after many tests and a CT scan her care team diagnosed her with ovarian cancer.
Plans progressed quickly and her care team referred her to a Gynecological Oncologist in the Twin Cities, where she will undergo a total hysterectomy on December 31st.
Michael and the boys will accompany Ashley to St. Paul—along with her twin sister Brittany. They'll be renting an AirBnb near the hospital, so they can be nearby. Ashley's parents live just north of Minneapolis, so they will be able to come help provide some much-needed distraction for the boys and emotional support.
Funds raised will help Ashley and her family pay for medical expenses incurred prior to surgery, travel & lodging in the Twin Cities, surgery, and hospital stay.
Following the surgery, we'll know more details about her cancer, including stage, treatment plan, and follow-up care. We will continue to post updates on this page, especially following the surgery.
Due to the current COVID restrictions, Ashley will not be able to have any visitors during her stay in the hospital, including a required 2-3 day post-op stay. She'll receive the news of her full diagnosis, staging, and treatment while alone in the hospital. Receiving this news in isolation along with the unexpected news of cancer will continue to take a large emotional toll on Ashley and her family, and they appreciate your prayers and thoughts.

While Michael, Holden & Theo will love any of the recommended dishes at the MealTrain link, Ashley's appetite has changed a bit, so we've listed a few grocery items that would also be appreciated.
