Help Ashley's Family After California Wildfire Devastation
Donation protected
On January 8th, my best friend since childhood, Ashley Springer, and his wonderful family lost their home in the California wildfires.
They had just spent the last year and a half doing work on the house and had just moved into the home a few weeks ago in mid-December. Yesterday, Ashley had to cut a massive check to the contractor who just finished work on their home that is now destroyed.
Both of their kids' schools burnt down. Their older son Bowie really loved his school, and they haven't had the heart to tell him yet.
⭐️ BONUS TIME: As luck would have it, they stayed a night at a friend's house before they were going to drive to stay with (Ashley's wife) Kati's family in Denver. And while they were there, a drunk driver hit their car that was parked on the street. Ugh...
Anyway, I really don't know what to do for Ashley and his family. But I know this is going to be really difficult for them to recover from. They haven't even figured out where they are going to go, or how they are going to put their lives back together yet, but this family is super-decent, and I know they could use some support right about now.
So, if you are someone who's been looking for a way to help people in California, I can vouch for this family being some of the sweetest, most decent people, and they could really use some help right about now.

♂️ Who the heck am I?
I'm Adam Sobel, Ashley's childhood friend who's watched him grow up and blossom into a super-kind, funny, wonderful person, caring husband and dad. Before the pandemic, I used to have a popular vegan food truck called the Cinnamon Snail (which Ashley worked on for a while), and now I teach plant-based cooking and share recipes online through my website: Cinnamonsnail. I live in Red Bank NJ with my family, and tons of rescued dogs, and a rescued wallaby named Doyle.
What's Ashley's Family Going To Do With Your Donation?
Aside from losing everything in the fire, being a therapist, it's going to take Ashley a while before he's able to provide for his family again. In the meantime, they are going to need to get relocated somewhere, repair or replace their car, and survive while they get their lives back together. It's going to suck, and frankly, it's just going to cost a ton of money.
Some things, like the basic value of their home should (I hope and pray) end up being covered by insurance, but not all of their belongings, or the massive amount of money they just put into a year and a half of improvements they made on their home.
