Help Ashley's family recover from the Eaton Fire in Altadena

Hello friends,
We are Seanne Winslow and Lizzie Sam, and we are creating this GoFundMe campaign for our dear friend, Ashley Bradley, her sister Cailin, and Ashley’s three-year-old daughter, Adelia. We have known Ashley for 15+ years, been her neighbors in LA, and consider her family.
Overnight on Jan 7th/8th, 2025, Ashley's home burned in the Eaton Fire along with the homes of her friends and neighbors in Altadena, CA. And while we are incredibly grateful that Ashley, Adelia, and Cailin are safe (along with their beloved cat Alexie), their whole lives have been reduced to ashes.
Ashley and Adelia were out of town when the fire broke out, forcing them to witness this horrific event from afar. Cailin, who was at the house, was able to rescue their cat just before evacuating. Unfortunately, everything else was lost - from irreplaceable sentimental items, like Adelia’s first stuffed animal and Ashley's family letters, to essential practical items such as Ashley’s car, furniture, clothing, and all household goods.
Ashley and Adelia are returning to Los Angeles tomorrow with nothing, and face the daunting task of rebuilding their lives from scratch.
This GoFundMe campaign aims to provide immediate and longer-term support as they navigate this incredibly difficult time:
Immediate Needs (First 1-2 Weeks):
- Temporary Housing: Hotel stay or short-term rental while they find more permanent housing.
- Food and Basic Necessities: Groceries, toiletries, prescriptions, and other essential supplies.
- Clothing, Work Supplies, and Etc.: Replacing lost clothing, toys and comfort items for Adelia, Ashley's work/writing supplies, etc.
Mid-Term Needs (1-3 Months):
- First Month's Rent and Security Deposit: For a new apartment or house.
- Household Furnishings: Replacing essential furniture (beds, couch, table, chairs), kitchenware, linens, and other household items.
- Transportation: Replacing Ashley’s car, which while technically still intact, is likely totaled due to smoke damage.
Long-Term Needs (Ongoing):
- Medical and Mental Health Support: Covering any medical and mental health expenses related to the fire.
- Assistance with Insurance Claims and Other Legal/Administrative Costs: Providing a buffer for unexpected expenses related to navigating insurance claims, replacing important documents, and the general admin and bureaucracy of life.
Ashley is one of the most resilient and caring people we know. We are heartbroken by this tragedy and are determined to support her and her family as they rebuild their lives. We invite you to join us in helping them start fresh.
