Help Ashlie Pay for Ed Abroad this Summer!

Hi, my name is Ashlie and I’m a 32 year old first gen student attending Portland State University. I am a 4.0 student on a Ford Family Scholarship which covers my tuition during the school year, but unfortunately not the summer term. I have been accepted into a 3 week Painting in Paris Summer Abroad program and would appreciate your support in covering the costs for tuition and travel expenses!

 

I am in the BFA program and will graduate next spring(2023)! After which I will attend an accelerated Masters program in secondary education to pursue a career as a middle school art teacher. I am passionate about teaching art to teens through a mental health lens with a focus on building self awareness, confidence, community and coping skills.

 

My summer abroad will allow me to paint and work in another culture! I am excited to gain new knowledge and experiences to expand my self growth which in turn allows me to further support those around me.

Flight: $1300
Transportation: $200
Food: $300+
