As some of you may know, I’ve embarked on an incredible journey here in Spain, pursuing a master’s degree in culinary arts. This experience has been nothing short of transformative, deepening my love and passion for food as I prepare to build a promising career as a chef.

I’m currently in my second semester, nearing the completion of my studies, with an exciting next step: an internship in the Basque Country at Arrea! from March to September. This opportunity is a dream come true, giving me the chance to refine my skills alongside culinary innovators in a region celebrated for its rich gastronomic heritage.

Yet, last week, I faced a heartbreaking setback. My entire knife bag—a collection of carefully selected and beloved tools I’ve accumulated over years of hard work—was stolen from my locker during class. These knives weren’t just tools; they were extensions of my hands, each piece an investment in my growth as a chef. Navigating the frustrating process of finding a resolution with my school has proven unsuccessful, leaving me to replace over $1,000 worth of equipment on my own, far from home.

I’m reaching out in the hopes of raising $1,200 to cover the costs of replacing these essential tools and having them shipped to me as I continue my studies abroad.
