Help Atiya Prepare for Medical School

My name is Atiya Dphrepaulezz. I am a wife, a new mother and - FINALLY- a medical student! It has been a long and grueling journey, but I have made it! I am preparing to enter medical school in August. The application cycle was VERY expensive, and I find myself in need of a new computer, books, study materials, scrubs and much more. Between recovering financially from applications, buying what I need for school and finding childcare and housing, whatever funds this page can generate will make a huge difference as I begin this next chapter. Whatever you can afford to give will help!

 

I cannot express what my family and community's support has meant to me throughout the years. From Oakland to Oregon, the diverse communities - from my Muslim brothers and sisters to the Black, Latino, Asian, and indigenous brothers and sisters - that make up my family and friends have inspired me to pursue a medical career so that I can bring a unique context and point of view into the practice and provision of medical care. Thank you for being there for me time and time again. I look forward to the day when I will be able to serve my community as a doctor. Until then, keep me in your prayers! Med school here I come...
