Help Atta evacuate his family from Gaza to Egypt

In the heart of Gaza, amid the ongoing conflict, there is a symbol of hope and love of life. Atta's family is a large family consisting of children, elderly people with chronic diseases who are not provided with treatment and medical care, and young people who are living in harsh and cold days in a tent in the southern Gaza Strip after they were displaced from their hometown in Gaza City. In light of the complete interruption of the basics of life and the horror experienced by this peaceful and innocent family, Atta is trying to help them leave the Gaza Strip to preserve the safety of his family and rebuild their lives . Atta had dreamed of a safe home for his family in Gaza, but all this has become ashes, in light of the destruction of his house and his family's house completely in Gaza, with the continuation of the famine that is now happening in Gaza, and in light of the lack of the basics necessary for life of food, clean water, medicine and electricity

Atta's family has been living in tents of oppression, humiliation and lack of humanity for six months

My name is Basha Jamil and I am located in Irvine, California. I am fundraising on behalf of Atta to evacuate his family from Gaza to Egypt.

Atta arrived here in Orange County in September 2023, just 3 weeks before the genocide in Gaza started. Atta lived in Gaza his entire life and worked as an attorney and human rights activist in Gaza City. He was selected for a program here in California to study English and arrived on a student visa. Now, he is applying for asylum as his home and entire life in Gaza has been destroyed as a result of Israel's ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people.

Atta is now starting his life all over again in the US, all while constantly worrying about his family who have been displaced, starved, and are facing unimaginable horror in Gaza.

100% of the funds raised will go towards evacuating and supporting living expenses for Atta's 20 family members. The cost per individual for evacuation to Egypt is approximately $5,000-$6,000.
