Help Aunt Dianna Walz Recover From Hurricane Ian

This fundraiser is being organized by her daughter Mellisa Keel, her sister Beverly Prothero, and her Niece Genevra Prothero

Dianna could not evacuate from Ft Myers Flordia before Hurricane Ian; at one point she was missing; we did not know if she was dead or alive. On Wednesday the 28th, as the hurricane hit, Dianna made a Facebook video showing that the water was almost up to the ceiling. Her refrigerator was floating on its side. She called Beverly and left a message informing her of the dire situation. Dianna has a pacemaker and several medications she takes, which is also a concern. We prayed and asked for prayers from friends, family and strangers. We requested a welfare check and were given hope because an officer said a neighbor saw her. She is a fighter and a survivor. We praise God and know that guardian angels surrounded her. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. We will be working on getting her to Utah so that her family and friends can help her get back on her feet. We know that she lost everything, her car, trailer, clothing, and even lost her cat. She was not expected to survive. As the water eventually came to the top of the trailer, the walls collapsed, and she survived. She is currently injured, she has hurt her head, and a fork went through her foot. She does not even have shoes on her feet. The Emergency rooms are full; several people are in the same situation. The rescues and cleanup are far from over. She can only get calls if she can find WiFi. She purchased a new phone at Walmart, so we can at least communicate when she calls. We recently spoke with her on a three-way call, and she told us just some of the things she has seen. It is so traumatizing for us that we know what she has been through, so imagine what she is experiencing. We are asking for friends, family, and strangers to donate what they can to help her relocate and get back on her feet. She is 64 years old and cannot work or rebuild her life independently. Even a $5.00 donation can add up. We humbly ask you for help. She is going to need it. We are from Utah and fundraising for Dianna Walz; the money will be used to rebuild her life.
