Help Austin Recover from Car Accident Expenses

UPDATE: Since launching my original campaign, I was T-boned in the vehicle I purchased as a result of the first crash. Luckily there were no new injuries, but my replacement vehicle was totaled, leaving me with more expenses and needing to purchase another vehicle.

This accident involved a drunk driver who was fortunately found and arrested. While I will be entitled to some restitution from the courts, it is uncertain when any of that money actually makes its way to me.

I am EXTREMELY grateful for everyone who has contributed to this campaign thus far! It has undoubtably helped keep me afloat during this tough time. My name is Austin and I’m reaching out today because I find myself in need of financial support this holiday season. A little over a week ago, I was involved in a car accident on my way to work. As fate would have it, this is actually the 2nd time in 5 years that someone has ran a red light and totaled my car. I just finished paying off the Silver Ceviche earlier this year and was really looking forward to riding off into the sunset with her :'(

As is the case with most car accident situations, I am extremely grateful it was not any worse. Luckily, I am ok but now dealing with the aftermath of a concussion and some whiplash related injuries that I’m still waiting to get checked out.

Having to utilize all of my paid time off earlier this year due to the death of my father, I have been having to take unpaid days off from work to recover and deal with logistical challenges of car rentals, doctors’ appointments, etc.

Luckily the person who hit me had insurance and I am seeking legal counsel. But I am currently facing some unexpected front-end expenses as a result of the accident, and purchasing a replacement vehicle as soon as possible is paramount as I rely on my car for work.

The funds raised will go directly toward purchasing a replacement car, helping cover the unexpected expenses that have arisen as a result of the accident, make up some of the financial difference for having to miss work, and put some money back in the pockets of some extremely generous family members who have already been kind enough to lend me some money.
