Help Ava to fulfill her dream

I wanted to share with you my families story in hopes it can spread some awareness.

2022 my mam Cathy was diagnosed with a 1 in 1 million rare non curable cancer, ocular melanoma. She went for an eye test in specsavers in Wilton due to headaches which were put down to long term covid. She underwent a week of severe radiation which included the removal of her eye to put radiation on the tumor and then to reinsert her eye. Due to being incurable she has to have regular scans, blood tests and checkup. We were just coming to terms with her diagnosis when on the 17th of January this year 2024 my sister Ava who is Down syndrome, just 14 years old was diagnosed very suddenly with B cell a.l.l leukemia.

On the Monday Ava was in school and came home early being pale and not feeling well but due to her arthritis it was put down to that. On the Thursday morning she had an extreme nose bleed, she was taken by ambulance to cuh where she was then diagnosed with leukemia at 9am that morning.

Due to her being super sensitive to all forms of treatment she has not been able to have the correct form of treatment and the future is now unknown for her.

So although my mam has her own treatments and check ups she has more or less lived between crumlin and the cuh with Ava for the past nearly 12 months.

My sisters biggest wish is to go to Paris to see the Eiffel Tower and have tea and a croissant there. I wanted to set up this go fund me to make this possible
