Help Avery County Rebuild and Recover

Update!! :: Thank you all SO much for helping our community and my family with recovering from Helene. We are now able to get to our house and start working on building it back. We have had some wonderful people come into our lives and help us with grading. Matthan and I are so blessed with Gods people showing up and out to help. Hello all, my name is Alisha Hicks. I have had a lot of people reach out to assist my home town with expenses. After hurricane Helene we have SO many that’s lost homes, their lives, and still SO many missing. The news is reporting outside where I am so not a lot is seeing how bad it is. I am in the lower area of Avery county NC on the Avery Mitchell line. Every penny donated will be put back into the community for food, water, clothes, and basic needs. Our community begs for prayers more than anything. We have so many people that’s come from all over the country to help and we are so thankful.
