Help Avery & Family get through Brain Cancer

Hi my name is Ashley, and I am Avery's mom. Avery is a 9 year old little girl that is smart, sweet, and fiercely bright. She was diagnosed with brain cancer.Her family is asking for help to get through this difficult time. On January 12th 2023 Avery was diagnosed with a brain tumor at Doernbecher Children's hospital. Avery began experiencing numbness in her leg and foot back in November when waiting for an MRI that was scheduled in January. It soon became clear that the source of her symptoms was not anxiety which we were told. 2 days after Christmas visiting family in Sunnyside she was severely dizzy that included a headache,nausea and vision problems. Avery was admitted to Doernbecher Children's hospital and in the first couple days she underwent a 7.5 hour brain surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible. After recovering about a month from surgery she is scheduled for 6 and 1/2 weeks of radiation at Fred Hutchinson proton center in Seattle Washington. We recognize this is a scary time for our family dealing with the uncertainties and anxiety of the challenging times in the months to come.The importance is that we have faith, love, and hope for our daughter.
