Help Avery and Family During His Recovery

Hi, my name is Valerie Puckett and I am fundraising for my 4 year old great nephew, Avery and his family. Avery was riding his bike on the sidewalk on Saturday when he was run over by a truck. The driver was distracted while backing into his driveway and ran over Avery on his bike. The back tire ran over Avery’s head and torso and he was trapped under the truck. Avery sustained serious injuries and was life flighted to Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital in Spokane. Following a CT scan and x-rays, it was found that Avery had sustained a fractured skull (with the fracture going from the back of his head all the way over the top to the occipital bone.) Internal injuries which include broken ribs, bleeding in his lungs and lacerations on his liver and kidneys. Avery is a little trooper and he is fighting to get better. He will be in the hospital for several days or more while his condition is monitored as there are concerns about brain fluids leaking from the skull fracture and internal bleeding. Avery’s parents have remained by his side and haven’t left the hospital. Grandma is helping with Avery’s brother and sisters at home.
