Help Ayala represent Israel at World Championships & Beyond

Shalom, I'm Ayala Harris, a 17.5 year old student, daughter of British Olim and an up&coming athlete whose dream is to run for Israel in the Olympics!

It all started two years ago. At 15, I finished 3rd in the adult's Jerusalem 10K. That race changed my life and I set my sights on becoming a champion athlete training 4hrs a day every day (except Shabbat). Within just 2 years...

I became Israeli champion (U18) twice in the 1500 m.
The Israeli record holder in the 2000 m.
Represented Israel in the European Championships (U18).
Represented Israel in the Maccabiah winning Silver in the 1500 m.
Represented Israel in the European Youth Olympics twice.

Sights on the World Championships...I started 2024 a whole minute shy of the qualifying time for the U20 World Championships (in 3k that’s almost 1 lap!!!). So as my family gathered for the Passover holiday, I packed my matzos and headed to the Pyrenees to get in shape with high-altitude training. 5 weeks of intensive training paid off! Racing in Germany (on Yom HaShoah), I qualified for the U20 World Championships, with a time of 9:28! It was rare achievement in women's middle-distance in Israel.

Why I need YOUR help:

The World Championships are taking place in Lima, Peru in August 2024. I'll be racing against the world's best U20 athletes, most have years more training than I do. Despite this, my goal is to do Israel proud, and rank within the top 10 globally.

Your generous support will help me to:

1. Cover the travel, accommodation, equipment costs to:

Arrive at the World Championships in the best possible shape Allow me to participate in two high-altitude training camps in Europe (July&Aug)
Compete in 2 circuits of competitions pre-World Championship in Europe in June and July.

2. Cover my travel and training expenses to compete at the highest level in a series of international competitions in Europe in 2025 (including the European Championships U20) while I’m serving in the IDF.

They say becoming a champion takes hard work, discipline, and determination (I bring that!) It also requires resources! With Israel’s economy at a low ebb due to the war, it's harder than ever to self-fund. And gov't sports budgets are virtually non-existent.
