Help Azekel and Jolliff get a wheelchair

Donation protected
Jolliff and Azekel are two Black trans people with multiple disabilities who have recently been suffering from extremely ill health. Together they run Black Trans Foundation which has helped many Black Trans people access gender affirming and racially affirming therapy in the UK.

The demanding nature of being a Black trans healthcare worker has taken its toll on Jolliff and Azekel, both of whom have now lost their ability to walk. They are dealing with daily chronic pain, severely reduced mobility, anxiety, depression, and the worsening of their existing disabilities. This health crisis has also cost Jolliff his home and he is currently homeless. Azekel is also searching for accessible housing. So now we are crowdfunding to get them the help and care they need to recover. This will include: motorised wheelchairs, full-time care, diagnosis, secure housing + housing adaptations, appointments with chronic pain specialists, food, medications, and other caring costs.

We know this is a high goal. But working on the front lines of Black trans survival in the United Kingdom has had a profound cost on the bodies and wellbeing of our comrades. We are now asking the community to help us look after them as they have looked after others.
