Help Azez Safi from Gaza to save his family

Hi Everyone,

We are Marco and Fabio and we are fundraising on behalf of a great human being and dearest friend, Safi, aiming to save his family from Gaza war.

Safi is Palestinian, university professor, former businessman, husband, and father of two lovely four years old twin girls. We know each for 15 years, since we studied together in Trento, Italy.

Since the beginning of the war, together with our alumni colleagues we have been trying to find a way to help Safi and his family.

Upon his personal request, we are setting up this fundraising campaign, with high hopes of saving his and his loved one’s lives.

Safi's family lost their house on 2/2/2024.

The company was destroyed on 12/10/2023.

Now, price of goods in Gaza are:

1 kg of sugar = 18 $

1 kg of salt = 15 $

1 kg of flour = 35 $

1 gallon of water = 8$

1 kg of wood = 4 $

All good are 10 times and 100 times are multiple prices.

Dears,

My name is Azez Safi. I am 38 years old, caring husband and father of two lovely 4 years old twin girls. I have spent several years in Europe, mostly in Trento, Italy, where I graduated in “Master of International Management” and had the unique opportunity to be friend people from the most various nationalities, backgrounds and, undoubtedly, beliefs.

Prior the war, my family and close ones had a wonderful life, without missing anything out of it. I was teacher in University of Palestine, hopefully contributing to the development of humans with character, and I also had my own business – a supermarket – importing global brands from all over the world. Life was following a prosperous course. However, due to an atrocious course of events, me, and as all other Palestinians from Gaza, suddenly and abruptly lost everything we have been peacefully building for years.

We became homeless. Refugees in our own land. This dreadful battle for survival, which started on October 7th 2023, seemed never ending. As of today (February 2nd 2024), date in which I write this letter of despair, “existing” in the region is no longer possible, and we were forced to evacuate to Rafah, in the South Gaza Strip, fearing for the lives of our loved ones.

The nightmare continues in Rafah: air strikes are still a constant and the situation aggravates rapidly with the shivering cold weather, food shortage and water scarcity, exponentially diminishing our chances of survival."
