Help Aziz Hamed Rebuild His Business in Palestine

Donation protected
On January 23rd 2024, Israeli settlers entered the ancient Palestinian village of Beitin near Ramallah and set fire to AbdelAziz Hamed, my uncle’s, car rental lot. The arson attack destroyed the whole business in its entirety. Anyone who knows Amo Aziz, or Uncle Ozzy as we call him, knows how good of a person he is. He has continually put his family and community before himself for decades. Having spent 40 years in the United States, he ran a bodega in North St. Louis City, Regal Meat Market, where he served the community, refused to sell liquor and was recognized by the City of St. Louis for providing fresh produce at his store in a community that was a known food desert. An initiative that is rare in disenfranchised neighborhoods across the country. He and my aunt returned/retired to Palestine, a dream for every Palestinian in diaspora, in 2020. He opened a business so his children in the States could build their lives without having to provide income for him and my aunt during their retirement. In November of 2023 while he was harvesting olives in his ancestral lands he and his nephew were attacked and injured by Israeli settlers, their olives were stolen leaving a blow on their yearly income from the harvest. This arson attack is a larger blow. His whole livelihood was destroyed in one evil act. Insurance companies in Palestine, unfortunately, do not cover settler or IOF attacks. I am raising money with Amo Aziz’s permission, to help rebuild his business, this would cover the damage to 12 cars as well as his lot and office. This comes at a time when Gaza is facing annihilation and settler attacks in the West Bank are becoming more frequent as a result of global resistance to the occupation of Palestine. Thank you for your generosity. Free Palestine.
