Help me raise money for my gender affirming surgeries

Hello guys,

I’m Azra, a middle eastern migrant trans woman from Berlin. I have been transitioning for quite a while now and I’ve experienced amazing changes. So far my life has improved a lot, but I still struggle with passing at times , which makes me feel very dysphoric and uncomfortable in some social interactions. I sometimes find myself in unsafe situations, when I’m in public which adds an additional layer of constant anxiety. Unfortunately, German insurance does not cover facial feminisation surgery for trans women. It’s a lot of money that we have to pay out of pocket. Especially for people like me that weren’t born into social and economical wealth, it is almost impossible to reach this goal.

I am currently also paying for electrolysis and laser sessions out of pocket so my facial and body hair is eliminated.

This is already a big financial burden for me and I’ve asked my insurance to cover these costs but they declined many times. I’ve been through very hopeless times because I felt so powerless. For me it was very hard to take my friends’ advice to create this Gofundme. I hate being dependent on others but at this point I don’t see any other way.
