Help Azure Get By Until Her Disability Kicks In
Donation protected
Hello; my name is Azure. I'm a queer non-binary transfemme with a whole cavalcade of disabilities for which I am working on an appeal to the Social Security Administration.
The problem here is that the same disabilities that necessitate this support mean that it's difficult for me to support myself until the benefits come through. I do my best with surveys and odd jobs online but it's never enough and the stress only deepens my problems.
Currently I'm several months behind in my rent, which is freaking me out. My rent isn't that much, but I still need to pay it to maintain a place to live. I also have ongoing medical needs (medication, transition-related expenses), and utility bills for power and Internet.
I live a modest life. I don't need that much. Were I able to work even a minimum-wage job I would be fine. But I'm not well. And I'm struggling, and I'm in a state of constant fear from my inability to make ends meet.
If the disability benefits come through, they will be a life-changer. It'll only be $850 a month, but that's a sort of stability I've never known. For once in my life I won't be scrambling for basic survival.
Thank you for any help you can give me. I'll do my best to pass the love on as I can.
If you're in a precarious position yourself, please don't put me before you. If you want to help, sharing the link is as good as direct aid.
