Help Support Baby Andrew in His Fight Against Alobar Holoprosencephaly (HPE)
On November 21, 2024, Ashley and Joshua Wheelan welcomed their precious baby boy into the world. While their hearts overflowed with love and joy, their lives quickly took a challenging turn. Their newborn son has been diagnosed with alobar holoprosencephaly, a rare and severe brain malformation that affects his brain’s ability to divide into two hemispheres. As a result, he faces significant medical hurdles, and right now, he is in the NICU receiving round-the-clock care.
This diagnosis has shaken the Wheelan family, but they remain hopeful and determined to provide their son with all the love and care he needs. However, the road ahead is uncertain, and it will be long, with numerous medical appointments, therapies, and potential surgeries. As parents to four other children, Ashley and Joshua are doing their best to balance the needs of their newborn with the demands of their growing family.
How You Can Help:
We are reaching out to you, their friends, family, and community, to help support the Wheelan family during this incredibly challenging time.
Your donation will go directly toward:
Medical expenses: These include ongoing treatments, NICU care, specialists, and potential future surgeries.
Daily needs: With four other children at home, Ashley and Joshua are balancing caregiving, so any help with food, gas, and household expenses will ease their burden.
Travel and accommodation: They may need to travel for specialized care, which can add financial strain.
Every donation, no matter how small, will make a world of difference for baby Andrew and the Wheelan family. Your support will help them focus on what matters most—being there for their son as he faces this difficult journey.
Please keep baby Andrew and the Wheelan family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate the challenges ahead. Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and generosity during this trying time. We are deeply grateful for your support.
