Help Baby Blewett with Spinal Surgery

Hi, I am starting this Gofundme to help my boyfriend, Matt, with veterinary expenses for his puppy, Blewett. Blewett is a 6 month old Australian Cattle Dog with a Type IV Dermoid Sinus. Although known to be found in Rhodesian Ridgebacks, dermoid sinus is a skin condition where an open, tubular cyst grows on the back ridge down into the skin. Blewett's dermoid sinus is in the middle of his back, and the MRI has shown that it is attached to his spinal cord. Because the opening has been infected twice and appears to have begun impacting some ability in one of his hind legs, we are in the position where we have to do surgery. The cyst is likely to either become infected again, possibly infecting the rest of his spinal cord, or continue to grow, impacting his ability to use his hind leg. After reaching our annual maximum of $3,000 on our pet insurance* from his MRI, we were completely unprepared for the amount that the MRI and surgery would cost and unfortunately we are not able to pay for all of his needs. Blewett is otherwise a completely healthy and happy puppy with overflowing love for life and for all those he meets.
