Help baby Calvin on his journey to recovery!

Hi, my name is Doug Wells,

Sherie, Mike, Debbie and I were blessed with our first grandchild (Calvin Michael Wells) on July 12. This was Tayler and Shelby's 9th wedding anniversary.

At the 38-week ultrasound, a large cyst was found on Callvin's brain. Due to the cyst, Shelby was induced early.

Calvin was taken directly to the NICU after his birth at OHSU. Several days after his birth, the cyst was surgically remediated. The surgery went well and Calvin went home with a good prognosis on July 19th.

On July 24th, Tayler and Shelby noticed a change in Calvin's behavior. After several calls with the doctors, Tayler and Shelby took Calvin back to OHSU.

After many tests and consultations, Calvin was admitted and is currently in ICU. The tests indicated that Calvin is dealing with a brain infection. He is currently being treated for meningitis. Calvin will likely require in-patient care for weeks to come with the total duration unknown.

Tayler and Shelby both have great jobs with very supportive managers. Unfortunately, Tayler will run out of paid time off on July 31st. Although his job is secure, his income will stop until he gets back to work.

Tayler and Shelby are doing their best in these difficult times and would appreciate any help.
