Help Baby Everett Fight for His Life

On March 17, 2025, my brother, AJ, and his girlfriend, Veronica, welcomed their beautiful daughter, Alice Joan Harrington, into the world after an unmedicated labor. She was born at 10:31 AM, weighing 5 lbs 8 oz. But their journey took an unexpected and heartbreaking turn. Veronica’s labor stalled, and after hours of waiting, doctors had to start Pitocin to help deliver their son.

On March 18, 2025, at 9:39 AM, Everett James Harrington was born in distress. After hours of labor, doctors had to use a vacuum to assist his delivery, as they had lost his heartbeat. When he was born, his heartbeat was at 1, and he wasn’t breathing. He had to be resuscitated and was immediately airlifted to Albany’s NICU in critical condition. Everett is now fighting for his life with a severe brain stem injury, which has left him unable to breathe on his own and very little brain activity.

AJ and Veronica are facing the unimaginable….watching their newborn son fight for survival while also trying to care for their newborn daughter at home. Nearly everyday, our family is making the round trip to Albany to be by Everett’s side, all while navigating the emotional and financial toll of this crisis.

All funds raised will go directly to helping cover travel expenses to and from the hospital, travel for immediate family to visit sweet Everett, food for the family, medical costs, and lost income so they can continue to be there for Everett as he fights this battle.
