In the early hours of December 28th, our lives took an unexpected turn. At just 23 weeks and 2 days into her pregnancy, Heather experienced the heart-wrenching moment when her water broke. Currently under the vigilant care of dedicated medical professionals, Heather is on bed rest in the hospital, with the hope of carrying baby Hadley until 34 weeks.

Heather's unexpected journey entails almost 11 weeks of hospitalization, keeping her out of work until the next school year. While we are optimistic about short-term disability, it won't cover her full monthly pay. Shane, tirelessly commuting from Gloucester to Newport News, is juggling the daily school pick-up and drop-off for our boys.

This is a daunting time for our family, and we reluctantly reach out for assistance. Any help, big or small, will go a long way in easing the financial strain during this challenging period. Your support means the world to us as we face the uncertainties of premature birth and a lengthy NICU stay for Hadley.

Our fervent prayer is that Heather can remain pregnant until 34 weeks, allowing Hadley the best chance at a healthy start. The journey ahead is uncertain, but with your love and support, we are determined to face it head-on.
