Help baby Harper on her way home!

Donation protected
Hello everyone,
Harper Kaye Ward Born August 29th, 2023 ❤️ She’s spending some time in NICU on a CPAP, and will likely be having heart surgery by 6 months old as she has 2 holes in her heart. But she is beautiful as ever, tiny, and has a full head of hair. Already in love with her daddy, and is as fiesty as her older siblings. We can’t wait until we can hold her and dress her and love on her the way we want too.

From Jonathan- As of last night Harper is doing a little better, they have dropped her cpap level down from 7 to 6 and her breathing has slowed slightly so they are hoping we can make enough progress over the weekend to get her off of that and start working on feeding. We will find out more about the aerotic valve size from another echo today and we will also figure out if she is going to need casting of her legs for the club foot also. They expect us to be in the nicu for a while longer still but my baby girl is a warrior already, just gotta stay strong.

As of today from Mariah- We are so thankful that we got a room at the Ronald McDonald house for while our baby girl is spending time getting healthy and strong to be able to go home! Everyone has been so amazing here, the room and all the amazing extras here are gonna be so perfect for the kids. They’re not gonna want to leave! Our baby girl Harper is going to be getting another echo on Monday or Tuesday to check in on her heart, as of today not much has changed. Orthopedics said we will likely be casting her legs but it won’t be until after she is discharged and ready to go home. They have lowered her CPAP pressure once a day so far, so she is doing well with that and hopefully will be off of it soon so we can work on getting her using a bottle! The hospital staff and staff at the Ronald McDonald house has been more than amazing to us so far in this time of distress. We can’t be more grateful.

On behalf of Mariah and Jonathon, I am starting this fundraiser to hopefully help with medical needs as well as with other expenses as both Jonathon and Mariah will be out of work for a little while. I will provide updates as they are given to me. Anything you can do will help and if you can’t contribute financially please send good vibes, prayers and well wishes.

Please also check out our Facebook group “Healing Harper’s Heart” where you can find more updates.
