Help Baby Kash’s Family as He Fights for His Life

Donation protected
Update from Matt 3/20:
Yesterday and last night was much better than the night before. His room was readjusted to accompany a low stimulation environment (turned down the lights, quiet voices, minimal touching, quiet movies in the background) it has done great for him just calming down as his mind is waking up. He got a nice shampoo hair wash last night from one of his favorite nurses. They are still adjusting his medicine trying to find the fine line between just calm and plain asleep. Today will be a good day I can feel it. They are going to do some physical therapy today to get his body and his mind active so we will see how that goes. Thank you thank you thank you everyone for all of your prayers, love, and support. I will keep y’all updated per usual.

Update from Matt Nelson, 3/17:
Update for this morning, Kash has been completely taken off his seizure suppressant and sedation and everything is still looking great. They are still unable to tell when he might start waking up as it has to work out of his system. His blood pressure meds are continuously going down as he is stabilizing his own blood pressure. They are going to try to start feedings of Pediasure the lower his meds go. I cannot thank everyone enough for their continued prayers they are working and he feels every one of them. He will come out of this stronger than ever with God’s will. Today will be a great day!

UPDATE 3/15:
Kash is showing signs of improvement; however, the next 48 hours are critical, and more will be known after this time. The family is so very grateful for the donations, and most importantly, the prayers and love you’ve shown them!

I am a friend of Leslee and Rodney Fleming, longtime Realtors in San Angelo. If you know Les and Rod, you know they’d give the shirts off their backs for anyone in need. Their family needs YOUR help now. On March 13, their sweet 1-year-old grandson, Kash, crawled through their doggy door and fell into the backyard pool. He was flown to Dell Children’s in Austin, where he is in critical condition. His parents, Megan and Matt Nelson, are at his side; Megan is a stay-at-home mom to Kash and his 3-year-old brother, and Matt is self-employed and will be unable to return to work for the foreseeable future. The Nelsons do NOT have health insurance. Money is the LAST thing this young family needs to worry about during such a dark, uncertain time. Rod and Les are always helping others, and their family is so close-knit and kind. Let's band together as a community and give back to this beautiful family! Please share this gofundme, donate if you can (any amount helps), and PRAY! We believe that God hears our prayers. ❤️
