Help Baby Malachi

As most of you know Clayton and Michelle Armstrong’s grandson Malachi was born 5 weeks premature on April 22nd, 2020. He was born with a significant amount of meth in his system. He was denied a hospital birth and regular prenatal care while he was in utero, and that was done in hopes to be able avoid any detection of the drugs being pumped in his little body. Therefore he was also denied a much needed emergency hospital birth and ended up being born breech partly at home and partly in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. He spent approximately 25 minutes without oxygen. After the hospital staff revived him and put him on a ventilator, they rushed him to cooks hospital. Malachi’s family were told that he would have brain damage and would spend a few weeks in the NICU. After so many prayers and tears, Malachi’s brain scans show no signs of any brain damage, he’s off oxygen and his feeding tube was removed, he is thriving, eating on his own, hitting all the milestone marks of a preemie baby, and is set to be released from the hospital this week! He will need to be going back and forth to Cooks to be seen by a neurologist to see if there’s any lasting effects to Malachi‘s brain/body due to the drugs he was given in the womb for 8 months. With all of that being said, he will not be going home with his mom and dad at this time. Right now, his aunt Jessica is going to be caring for him for 30-60 days until CPS does a home study on Clayton and Michelle
(Malachi‘s paternal grandparents). Jessica’s church family is stepping into action to help her with her needs to take care of Malachi. Michelle and Clayton have hired a lawyer and are going to be working hard to get custody of him until Malachi‘s parents have both completed the 18 to 24 month CPS requirements in order to get Malachi back with them- Clayton & Michelle need help! They don’t have all of the money for the legal fees pertaining to the lawyer, they need to move out of their camper and into a bigger home. They have no baby supplies ready for this precious boy. What they did start collecting was given to Malachi is aunt Jessica to use for his short stay there. His grandparents want to give him a stable place to live, founded on God’s word, to grow and thrive until his parents are ready for him. Anything you can do to help is appreciated!
