Help Bailee and R’mani Hunter

Hello, my name is Brooke, and I’m Bailee Hunter’s sister. Many of you know that R’mani was admitted to Children’s Hospital of Milwaukee on 1/15 after a routine endoscopy and is still there. He had a duodenum hematoma form which is blocking all food and liquid from getting through. Since not even an NJ (feeding) tube could get through he is being fed via TPN/PICC line and also has to get his stomach continuously pumped since the stomach acid and bile can’t get through. On top of all this, he developed pancreatitis and strep throat. Poor boy just can’t catch a break. He is recovering slowly as hematomas take their time to heal, shrink, and reabsorb - but it will be months before he will be able to go back to normal life.

Since he needs around the clock care - Bailee has not been able to work and likely won’t be able to return for a month or two. Her bills, however, don’t stop. She still has her salon rent, house, vehicle, electricity payments, etc. with no income. She is not one to ask for help, and hasn’t - but I’ve had a lot of people ask me what they can do to help so I thought I’d set this up to help relieve one burden while she stays in Milwaukee. I wish everyone could see how tough Mani has been. He is the strongest boy I know and although he has his down days, in general he has been such a trooper for having to deal with something most of us never even have to think about. Bailee is being strong too and hasn’t left his side and also hasn’t gotten a lot of sleep. Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers, texts, cards, and gifts during this time. We are telling Mani every time someone asks, calls, or wishes him well - and it does put a smile on his face.
