Help Bambi: Our Family's Beloved Service Dog

Hello, my name is Joanie. My family and I never thought we would have to make a GoFundMe for our baby girl, but unfortunately, here we are. Our precious baby, Bambi, is in need of donations to help pay for her vet bills. We noticed earlier this month that she was not acting her normal self. Bambi has always been the most caring and loving furry friend you could ever encounter. Not just with us, but everyone she meets. She is always hyper even as her old age creeps up on her; she has always had her puppy-like spirit. She LOVES to eat and is always hungry. She also is a registered service dog and helps my sister with her severe anxiety mainly, but we can all say she helps the whole family individually as well. She feels when we are sad, in distress, or frustrated and without hesitation she jumps in our lap as a way to calm us down. She never fails to do so. Whenever we are alone, we know we aren’t ever truly alone because we always have Bambi. She is the best dog we could have ever asked for, and we are extremely grateful to God to have blessed us with her.

When we saw her start to lack energy, stop eating, stop drinking water, and with her tail limp, we knew there was something going on. After taking her to the vet, we were informed that she has an infection caused by her oral health. The infection is now in her blood and is spreading rapidly. The vets are now recommending she gets all her teeth pulled so the infection can be treated correctly and stopped at the source. As she got older, her teeth were slowly getting bad. We noticed this, but because my family and I endured some financial hardships throughout the years with our own medical emergencies, we never had the funds to get this expensive procedure done for her. Bambi has been my best friend since I was 7 years old. I am now 22, and I have grown up with Bambi always by my side. I have had her for more years than not. We understand she is older; she is 13 years old, but she is a part of our family, and we will do anything we need to do to help her live as long as she possibly can, the same way one would do for our human family members.
