Hello, dear compassionate souls.

This is Baraa'h Qandeel, a 25-year-old writer, dreamer, and multipotentialite from Gaza. I have been working in digital marketing, business development, and translation. I have many aspirations and dreams to pursue, one of which is to complete my higher education studies abroad, and I have been recently accepted into an MBA program at Lincoln University College in Malaysia with a 53% scholarship.

The Challenge:

After losing everything my family of nine members once had—our home, all of our belongings, and our financial security—and putting everything in our lives on hold for nearly nine months now, including my journey to get a job in business development that should have followed a 4-month intensive training and preparation, I now confront a future filled with fear and uncertainty. I find myself stuck in Gaza and unable to pay my expenses, as the chances of my admission and securing the job of my dreams are on a stick, and I might lose them. Furthermore, my family will be left out with nothing even when this genocide ends—no house, no source of income, or any support or security.

No need to kill me now

They’ve killed me many times

For each and every time

they killed a friend of mine

and killed an innocent child

they took my safety away

The Dream:

I need your support to raise the money necessary to evacuate from Gaza and enter Egypt and cover my admission and visa fees, study fees, travel fees, expenses to evacuate from Gaza and enter Egypt, and living expenses for a few months in Malaysia. I dream of pursuing my higher education studies, getting my dream job, and building a successful business development and writing career. However, I cannot leave my family behind, as I need your support to raise funds for them to start over and secure a brand new beginning for the eight of them, so they can find shelter and a roof over their heads and start a source of income to restore their financial security.

What Will the Funds Be Used for?

The funds will be raised and used as follows:

1. [20k]: Get me out of Gaza to support my studies and settle down in Malaysia for a few months.

2. [30k]: Help my family members, who are staying in Gaza, start over and rebuild their lives by securing shelter and a source of income post-genocide.
