Help Barbara Get Her Sight Back

My mother, Barbara Buonarati, of Ventura, California, has been going blind over the past two years. Her deteriorating condition is not the result of an incurable eye disease. It is the result of her not being able to afford healthcare insurance, without which she cannot pay the cost of long-overdue cataract surgery.

 

Her eyesight is now so bad that she can no longer drive, read, or enjoy the simple things in life. And, it’s only getting worse.

 

As a caring individual, my mom has always put the needs of others ahead of her own. I can assure you that is never going to change. I’ve created this site because now is the time to put special emphasis on helping her.

 

I’m asking your financial assistance to help my mother restore her eyesight and the quality of her overall healthcare. Towards that end, we have set $12,000 as our Go Fund Me goal for her. Working with several family members, we have secured for mom an exceptional, mandatory one- year, individual health insurance policy that will enable her to schedule her eye surgeries within a matter of weeks.

 

The contributions to this Go Fund Me account will help pay for pre-and-post doctor visits and post-surgery medications, as well as a new pair of glasses post surgery. It will also help fund reduced monthly premiums to protect my mom between the time when her current one-year health insurance policy ends and when she becomes eligible for Medicare.

 

I hope this explains the need for my creating this page and asking for your financial help.
