Help Barbara Read financially recover from scam

 

Barbara Read is a 71 year old disabled woman that lives in a retirement community in San Diego. Barbara rarely thinks of herself, she always puts her family, friends, church, and community first.  Recently, some horrible people contacted her and represented themselves as federal & local police authorities.  These men told her that her identity had been stolen & she was now implicated in a money laundering & drug trafficking investigation.  They threatened Mom with incarceration if she did not comply with the investigation.  The men said that in order to protect her money / savings totalling $38,300 from the real suspected drug trafficers and money launderers that stole her identity, she would need to withdraw her funds from her bank & deposit them in a Federal Trust Bitcoin account until the investigation was completed.  They then convinced her to purchase $2,000 worth of Target gift cards with her credit card, in order to "protect the money on her credit card" from the identity thieves.  By transfering her credit to gift cards, the thieves wouldn't be able to access them with her stolen identity information.  Unfortunately, these evil men also convinced her to give them the numbers on the backs of the cards, which allow anyone to use the cards to purchase items in store, or online, so that money is gone, too.  All together, Barbara was scammed out of her entire life's saving of $40,300.  It will be quite some time before Barbara will recover from the trauma and emotional stress of these recent events, but your donation will help her recover from the financial impact these evil people have had on her life.
