Barney needs a helping hand

My name is Jen and I’m the fur momma to 3 dogs and 1 kitty. We rescued Barney and his litter mate Fred from the streets of Houston TX. They have been the best boys we could have asked for.

Recently, Barney was diagnosed with a condition call luxating patella. His patella has come out of place and and sits on the interior side of his knee. After having a very expensive x-ray it was determined that he must have surgery to correct the problem. The vet has indicated that he likely has a TPLO tear which is similar to an ACL Tear in humans. The cost of the surgery itself has been quoted between $65oo-$7500. My teenage boys are giving up their upcoming birthday and Christmas gifts and have given us the money they have in the bank to help pay for the surgery. We are desperate to find a way to make it work. We have spent $1400 just to get to this point.
