Help Pay Barret’s Cancer Treatment Bills

Hi everyone, this is Barret’s sister — Blake. I’m raising funds to help relieve the burden of massive medical bills for her cancer treatments so she can focus on beating this disease.

For those who know Barret (Bear, Dr. Barret) you know how special she is and the positive impact she makes on her friends, family, patients, and colleagues. She is kind, funny, loyal, brilliant, honest, strong, and has the most beautiful heart. I have always admired her and am so proud to call her my sister and best friend.

Barret was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer in January. Since then, she has gone through 3 months of immunotherapy, 12 rounds of chemotherapy, and egg harvesting (cancer impacts fertility) all while getting mammograms, multiple MRI’s, CT scans, blood draws and additional visits to the ER to tackle harsh side effects. Later this year she will have a double mastectomy to kick this all to the curb.

As many of you are aware, our medical system is expensive and the sudden strain of medical bills has only added to the ongoing stress that cancer treatment causes. In light of the massive financial burden of cancer treatment, I’ve set up this GoFundMe to help pay for her medical bills and allow Barret to focus on fighting this.
