Help Barry with moving and health costs

Hi, my name is Rebecca Glover (Wheeler) and I'm starting this account on behalf of my dad Barry Wheeler. On July 1st, my dad had a couple of seizures in Bullhead City, AZ. At the hospital there, they discovered a brain tumor. He was life flighted to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas. He was placed in the Trauma ICU and had an aggressive brain surgery on July 3rd. The procedure was about 6 hours long and the neurosurgeon was able to remove about 80% of the tumor. It has yet to be determined if this is a grade 3 or 4 tumor, with a 4 being the worst. We are waiting on pathology results to come back to see if this is cancerous or not. Miraculously, most of Barry's major functions are still in tact. His memory is there, he is physically strong, and he can talk. There are some long term deficits that we still are unsure of. We can with certainty say that Barry will have some issues differentiating right and left. Math will be challenging for him as well. He has diminished vision out of his right eye. He will no longer be able to drive.

We are waiting to move him from the ICU to the oncology unit as soon as a bed opens up on the floor. Regardless if this is cancerous or not, Barry will undergo radiation to shrink the rest of the tumor.

I am asking for donations for my parents for a couple of different reasons. Number one is any medical expenses we aren't aware of yet. While my dad has great health insurance through the State of Alaska, there will be some type of copay. Number two is any outpatient treatment, such as physical and occupational therapy expenses. Number three is moving costs. My parents are currently living in Laughlin, NV which is about 1.5 hours away from Las Vegas. All of his doctors are in Las Vegas. It is also very important that my mom, Julie, is close to me so I can help her with taking care of my dad any way possible. The most logical decision at this point is for them to sell their house and buy a place here in Vegas. With my dad being on a fixed retirement income, it is going to be challenging to afford some of the costs that come with moving.
