Help Bashar and Khaled's Family Evacuate From Gaza

Donation protected
I am organizing this fundraising campaign to help Bashar Nabhan and Khaled Nabhan's family survive Gaza's calamitous war and its aftermath. This fundraising campaign is aimed at supporting Hala (aged 9), Kareem (aged 7), Saad (aged 4), with their mom (aged 34), dad (aged 35), and uncle (aged 25) to reach safety away from the war and its appendages. They all evacuated their homes to take refuge in Rafah city in southern Gaza strip. They are facing the lack of safety, shelter, appropriate food, and life basic needs.

Hala, Kareem, and Saad are full of live and dreams. Hala always says she wants to become a physician like her uncle Bashar, which of course Bashar endorses. Kareem, on the other hand, wants to help other kids enjoy their life. He is the talkative type, full of dreamy talks and funny aspirations for a kid of his age. He always says he wants to become the president of the world to end poverty and hunger, probably speaking from a personal experience, which can only be interpreted as utterly sad. Saad, the youngest, has developmental delays in his speech, include continuous stuttering and problems in articulating sentences. Saad’s struggle has been severely exacerbated by the war and the continuous, mostly haphazard, bombardment heard on an hourly basis. As the whole family evacuated to the so-called southern sanctuary Rafah, Khaled’s children lived with other children seeking refuge from the war. Hala’s birthday was celebrated in a tent, and 10 kids brokenheartedly made 10 cakes out of sand. They did not eat the cakes, obviously. Instead, they furiously yet funnily destroyed the cakes they had made and said this is only a rehearsal, as they would make a stunning birthday party for Hala once the war reaches its awaited end. They are still waiting, of course.

Khaled wants to raise his kids in an environment their hometown cannot currently provide. He wants his children to go to school, eat healthy food, live with dignity, and most importantly, dream big. They have been already punished during these months for a lifetime, Khaled explains his concern. Hala and Kareem were excellent in school, achieving the highest grades and being praised constantly by their teachers for their grades, morals, and care for other classmates.

Bashar Nabhan, Khaled's youngest brother, is a Palestinian physician who is aspiring evacuating from Gaza to pursue his future endeavors. Bashar graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in July, 2023, which opened the doors for him as he was considering leaving Gaza to continue his training in the United Kingdom since he was a freshman. Indeed, he followed his passion and began booking required international examinations as to turn his dream into fruition. Sadly, Gaza's great war broke out, and Bashar was forced to have one of his examinations during the war and its consequences of lack of electricity and internet. He still has many more international examinations remaining to be taken outside Gaza.

To include a cost breakdown:

Those wanting to leave Gaza must pay 5,000 U.S dollars if the individual is over 16 years of age, and 2,500 U.S dollars for if the individual is below 16 years of age. Therefore, Khaled's family require a sum total of 23,500 U.S dollars to evacuate from Gaza (5,000 U.S dollars for Khaled and Doaa each, and 2,500 dollars for every child), while Bashar requires 5,000 U.S dollars.

The money raised in this fundraising campaign will be used to help Bashar and Khaled's family leave Gaza, pay Khaled's debts, secure Bashar's future medical career fees (including paying for examinations, preparatory courses, travelling fees, and others), and start a whole new life for both Bashar and Khaled's family beyond the scope of terror, hunger, and melancholy.

Those influenced eventually influence. Bashar and Khaled truly appreciate your donations and promise that this fundraising campaign will be the greatest motive to pave their path with the intrinsic desire to empower, aspire, and inspire.

Thank you in advance. Your donation is appreciated no matter the amount. Please share their story, words, and dreams. Again, this fundraising campaign is meant to emphasize the point that they are not numbers, they have never been, and they will never be.
