‏Help Dr Bashar to evacuate his family from Gaza

My name is Bashar Al-Bilbisi, a pharmacist, director of Al-Fursan Arts Troupe, a popular Dabke trainer, and a theater artist. I live in Gaza and am currently displaced with my family to Rafah. I have always been against anyone leaving Gaza and I always perform dance performances and plays that aim to raise awareness among the community and the youth. Not to leave Gaza, but with all pain, I am here after 180 days of war, talking to you to help my family to leave Gaza because of the ongoing war and because the situation is getting more dangerous day by day in Gaza.

After a week of war, we were displaced from Gaza to Rafah. My family and I (my father and mother, my brothers Baraa and Badr, and my sisters Kenzi and Masa) were forced to leave behind our home, our memories, our friends, and our dreams. After that, we learned that our home in Gaza had been bombed, and after that the family home where we were gathering was bombed. In it, the theaters were destroyed and all the cultural places where I used to perform on an ongoing basis were destroyed.

I am a pharmacist and a dancer. I can heal the soul and people through art, and I always try to find a solution to help people. During the war, I started going to a medical point to help treat those displaced in the war. After that, I produced the film “An Attempt to Survive” for my team, the Al-Fursan Arts Troupe, which was speaking about their suffering in this war and their request to stop the war, and we were able to show the film in more than one country so that they would remain in solidarity with the Palestinians and their demonstrations, to call for an end to the war, would not stop.

I began training children in popular Dabke in displacement camps for many days to use dance and art as a basic means of relieving children, expressing their suffering, and opening dialogue sessions with children to relieve them of this war.

My brother Baraa is an engineer who had his job in Gaza. He also worked online to design and build homes for people outside Gaza, but with this war all his work stopped. He was also part of the team and helped train children in the displacement camps.

My brother Badr is a first-year student in the College of Pharmacy. But the university where he was studying was destroyed, so he needed to leave and complete his education outside Gaza.

As for Kenzi, who is a 9-year-old girl who is always talented in Dabke, a special movie was filmed of her telling her story and narration to convey her message to the world, and she also helped train the children. Those close to her age teach them the popular Dabke, and Masa is a child who is only one year and 9 months old. She does not deserve all this suffering in this war.

Despite the circumstances we are going through in Gaza and all the difficulties, I will remain in Gaza to continue helping people, and I hope that you will help us get my family out of Gaza, due to the difficult conditions we are suffering from, and to complete the rest of their dream and to become in a safer place, and after this war ends, we will all return to building Gaza, which we love always and forever.

Three months before the war, I was on a screening tour in France for the film Yalla Gaza, and there I presented popular Dabke shows in 12 cities. We carried the message and identity of the people of Gaza, expressed their suffering, and exchanged cultures. My dream was to go to all the theaters of the world to show them our heritage and the popular Dabke, but unfortunately all of these dreams went away with this war and I only dreamed that I and my family would survive this war.

The funds will be used to allow my family to leave Gaza, but also to pay for the trip to Cairo.

Je vis à Gaza et je suis actuellement déplacé avec ma famille à Rafah. J'ai toujours été contre quiconque quitte Gaza et je présente toujours des spectacles de danse et des pièces de théâtre visant à sensibiliser la communauté et les jeunes. Non pas pour quitter Gaza, mais avec toute la douleur, je suis ici après 180 jours de guerre, pour vous parler pour aider ma famille à quitter Gaza à cause de la guerre en cours et parce que la situation devient de jour en jour plus dangereuse à Gaza.

Après une semaine de guerre, nous avons été déplacés de Gaza vers Rafah. Ma famille et moi (mon père et ma mère, mes frères Baraa et Badr et mes sœurs Kenzi et Masa) avons été contraints de laisser derrière nous notre maison, nos souvenirs, nos amis et nos rêves. Après cela, nous avons appris que notre maison à Gaza avait été bombardée, et ensuite la maison familiale où nous nous réunissions a été bombardée. Les théâtres y ont été détruits et tous les lieux culturels où je me produisais régulièrement ont été détruits.

Je suis pharmacien et danseur. Je peux guérir l’âme et les gens grâce à l’art et j’essaie toujours de trouver une solution pour aider les gens. Pendant la guerre, j'ai commencé à me rendre dans un centre médical pour aider à soigner les personnes déplacées à cause de la guerre. Après cela, j'ai produit le film « Une tentative de survie » pour mon équipe, la troupe artistique Al-Fursan, qui parlait de leurs souffrances dans cette guerre et de leur demande d'arrêter la guerre, et nous avons pu projeter le film en plus d'un pays pour qu'ils restent solidaires des Palestiniens et que leurs manifestations, pour appeler à la fin de la guerre, ne s'arrêtent pas.

J'ai commencé à former il y a plusieurs jours des enfants à l'art populaire de Dabke, dans des camps de personnes déplacées, à utiliser la danse et l'art comme moyens de base pour soulager les enfants, exprimer leurs souffrances et ouvrir des séances de dialogue avec les enfants pour les soulager de cette guerre.

Mon frère Baraa est un ingénieur qui travaillait à Gaza. Il a également travaillé en ligne pour concevoir et construire des maisons pour les habitants de l’extérieur de Gaza, mais avec cette guerre, tout son travail a été interrompu. Il faisait également partie de l’équipe et aidait à former les enfants dans les camps de déplacés. Mon frère Badr est étudiant en première année à la Faculté de Pharmacie. Mais l’université où il étudiait a été détruite, il a donc dû quitter Gaza et terminer ses études. Quant à Kenzi, une fillette de 9 ans toujours douée pour Dabke, un film spécial a été tourné dans lequel elle raconte son histoire et sa narration pour transmettre son message au monde, et elle a également aidé à former les enfants, les personnes proches de son âge leur apprennent le populaire Dabke, et Masa est une enfant de seulement un an et 9 mois. Elle ne mérite pas toutes ces souffrances dans cette guerre.

Malgré les circonstances que nous traversons à Gaza et toutes les difficultés, je resterai à Gaza pour continuer à aider les gens, et j'espère que vous nous aiderez à sortir ma famille de Gaza, en raison des conditions difficiles dont nous souffrons, et pour réaliser leur rêve et se trouver dans un endroit plus sûr, et après la fin de cette guerre, nous retournerons tous à la construction de Gaza, que nous aimons toujours et pour toujours.

Trois mois avant la guerre, j'étais en tournée de projection en France du film Yalla Gaza, et j'y ai présenté des spectacles populaires de Dabke dans 12 villes. Nous avons porté le message et l'identité du peuple de Gaza, exprimé ses souffrances et échangé nos cultures. Mon rêve était d'aller sur tous les théâtres du monde pour leur montrer notre héritage et le populaire Dabke, mais malheureusement tous ces rêves ont disparu avec cette guerre et je rêve seulement que ma famille et moi survivrions à cette guerre.

Les fonds seront utilisés pour permettre à ma famille de sortir de Gaza, mais également à payer le voyage jusqu'au Caire.
