Help Bassist (Super)Darren Edwards Re-launch

Hello. I’m Darren's brother, Mark.

Why are we fund raising for Darren? Upon his release, Darren will exit with no vehicle, no residence, no job, and no bank account. These factors make for a tough way to re-start after spending time in D.L. Moss center downtown. Darren struggles with Bipolar Disorder as did our mother, Anita.

This fund is to help Darren get back on his feet in Tulsa. Our mother passed in 2022 and our father is in a nursing home out of state. Any donations will help put some wind at his back when he's out and while he puts in the work to get back to work as a bassist and/or with other employment.

The Tulsa music community IS his local family. I’ve seen it first-hand during past visits in Tulsa and live performances all over town. The warm and supportive network he has developed in Tulsa is "Darren at his best" and he plans to stay there.

Where will your donation go and how will it be used? To Darren Edwards only, for daily living expenses, transportation and initial treatment for his Bipolar Disorder.

Financial Controls: $0.00 will go to legal fees, thanks to the Tulsa County Public Defender’s Office. I will manage disbursements as needed on a weekly basis.

Why now? Expected release from confinement in early August after hearing(s) in the Tulsa County Specialty Court system.
