Hey all!
Well little bastion has run into some medical issues, it seems he is very susceptible to bladder stones and has developed two larger masses that won’t pass through his urethra. It’s been a tough two days, we’ve already had two bills for X-rays and whatnot to find out what was wrong and to get him out of discomfort (these bills have not been on the cheap end either sadly- everything is documented for those that request vet notes etc)
Unfortunately given the size of the bladder stones bastion will need to have emergency surgery to remove them within the week. He’s currently on a new diet and taking pain meds and being monitored as if the blockage returns he’ll need to be brought to emergency immediately. Both Taylor and I have had to miss a days work to handle the care of little bassy. We’re not usually ones to ask for monetary help as having a pet is a responsibility that we knew going into being a pet parent. However we just got married October 2019 and the surgery and follow up X-rays etc will be roughly 2200$
Bastion is a healthy boy otherwise, he’s only 3 years old and this is why we’ve decided to go ahead with the surgery. We need to rid him of the stones so he can start the new diet and hopefully this will deter him from forming new stones in the future (much like humans who are more susceptible to kidney stones) if any of you know bassy or can help out in any way it would be hugely appreciated. We love our little fur baby and want what’s best for him! Pls help us out even if it’s 5$ it means the world and goes a long way!
