Help Bat Cave NC Volunteer Rescuers Save Lives

HELP VOLUNTEER RESCUERS CONFRONT THE MASS DEVASTATION IN WESTERN NC — Please help those affected by the heartbreaking destruction from Hurricane Helene in the Bat Cave, Chimney Rock, and Lake Lure areas! MANY PEOPLE still missing or trapped!!!

100% of the funds will go to the BAT CAVE VOLUNTEER FIRE & RESCUE DEPT, which my father (Bill Vitti Sr.) and stepmom (Jen Vitti) volunteered at for years. Joyce Freeman is the treasurer for the fire department and all of the funds will go directly to their bank account. These brave souls work around the clock to provide rescue services to the community. I can’t imagine the daunting task and what they will experience. They will need funds, equipment, and supplies. It’s a very dangerous situation as there is no way in or out of town - even helicopters are a challenge due to the dense heavily wooded area and mass destruction.

Much of the community is destroyed or simply gone! These towns are without water, food, electricity, cell service, internet, supplies, and roads.

My name is Bill Vitti Jr. and I live in Phoenix, Arizona. I will ensure the funds get to this organization immediately. After waiting over 24 hours, I learned my Dad, stepmom, stepsister, and stepbrother all survived the terrifying ordeal, but are still trapped with no way out. I fear the same will not be true for the loved ones of others - this group is racing to save lives. Many still haven't heard from loved ones and many are trapped with no cell, power, food, water, or medical supplies!
