We’re so relieved to share that Baza’s surgery was a success, and he is now home recovering! Thanks to a generous soul, we received an $8,000 loan to cover the procedure, ensuring Baza got the urgent care he needed. But now, we face the challenge of repaying this loan while also preparing for Baza’s ongoing medical care.

We’re reaching out with hopeful hearts to ask for your support for our beloved dog, Baza. He’s not just a pet—he’s family, our best friend, and the heart of our home. Unfortunately, Baza needs urgent surgery, and we need your help to give him the care he deserves.

Baza’s Story

Baza is a 6-year-old American Pitbull Terrier with the biggest heart. He was found as a tiny 6-week-old puppy on the streets of Philadelphia by Brierley’s stepfather, Roy. Though he wasn’t in a position to take in a dog, Roy couldn’t leave him behind and brought him home, determined to find him the loving family he deserved.

The moment Brierley (a self-proclaimed cat person up until this point) laid eyes on Baza, she knew he was meant to be part of their lives. Around this same time, Jack suffered the devastating loss of his mother. Through heartbreak and grief, Baza was there—bringing comfort, love, and a reason to smile. In contrast to the hard times, he has also been the source of some of their very best moments. He’s the kind of dog who loves unconditionally, spreads joy to everyone he meets, and fills every room with warmth.

Why We Need Your Help

Recently, Baza was diagnosed with a foreign body obstruction in his GI tract, and without surgery, his health—and even his life—is at serious risk. The procedure, along with post-operative care, medications, and follow-ups, will cost $9,500—an amount we simply cannot afford on our own.
