Help me become a paramedic
Donation protected
Hi there,
You may recall over 3 years ago when I set out on my goal of becoming an emergency medicine provider. Since September 2020, I've been a certified emergency medical technician, providing basic life support to my immediate community.
A bit of a summary on how I've kept up my knowledge and skills:
I worked professionally in private EMS while simultaneously volunteering for an ambulance corp every week. After I moved to Florida, I became a member of Hatzalah, servicing the members of my community and answering their calls for urgent medical assistance. Although I don't currently work in the field of EMS, helping others through healthcare is my true passion and the greatest honor that I could ever hold.
But I haven't been complacent in learning more. In the fall of this year, I started school to become a paramedic. This certification would give me the skills and knowledge to assist others at an advanced level, and provide a higher standard of medical care to those in need. The hours, when combined with my full time job are long and difficult. It isn't easy making time after a full work shift to study for exams, but I know that it's worth it. It is my intention to ultimately make the career change to full time healthcare provider and follow my dream to help others in a compassionate and meaningful way.
I humbly turn to you to ask for your help with my paramedic tuition. The cost for the remainder of the course is $10,000 and includes the qualifying exam at the end. I do not wish to rely on the generosity of others, but unfortunately I must. Every bit helps and will be applied 100% to my goal of helping others in their greatest hour of need.
Respectfully,
Shimon
