Help Bean Walk Again - Urgent Spinal Surgery Needed
Donation protected
Hi everyone, our name is Zoe & Alberto! We are the owners and beloved parents of our Border Collies, Bean & Evie. We want to express our deepest feelings for Bean right now who is going through a lot. Bean is more than just a dog, he's family. A fun, loving, and energetic pup who adores playing ball, going for walks, and spending every moment with his best friend and sister dog, Evie. These two are inseparable, always playing, running, and bringing joy to everyone around them. He also loves to invest time into his Mum & Dad every day and loves to show his energetic self and always brings the house and family together!
On the morning of February 17th, everything changed. Bean suddenly couldn’t walk on his back leg. At first, we feared it was a paralysis tick, but after a vet visit, tick prevention, blood tests, and x-rays costing over $2,000 we learned the heart breaking truth.
We found out it was not a tick , the x-rays revealed a spinal disc displacement, and without an MRI ($4,500) and urgent surgery, Bean could suffer permanent nerve damage in his leg. The total cost for his diagnosis, MRI, and surgery is expected to exceed $8,000-$15,000, and we’re doing everything we can to give Bean the best chance at recovery.
Right now, we’re facing significant financial difficulties in covering these unexpected and urgent medical costs. We’re reaching out for help every dollar counts in getting Bean the treatment he needs to walk and live his happy, playful life again.
The hardest part is seeing the sadness in Bean’s eyes. He doesn’t understand why his leg won’t work, why he can’t chase his ball, or run around the house like he used to. He watches the world go on, his family trying to be the best for him and watches his sister Evie play, but he can’t join in, and you can tell he feels it. It’s heart breaking to see him like this, knowing he just wants to be his happy, playful self again.
Bean will be undergoing MRI Scan on 19/2/2025 and updates will be provided with the cause with the spinal injury and we will ensure to keep GoFundMe medically updated with bean.
If you can contribute, no matter how small, whether it is $1 or more it would mean the world to us and to Bean. Please share, donate, and help us get our boy back on his feet so he can go back to being the happiest boy!
Thank you for your kindness and support.
