Help Bean's Recovery Costs after he was hit by a car.

We are fundraising for Bean. A lovely family cat who unfortunately was hit in the head by a car.

He wasn't around for his normal afternoon feeding time and after not turning up by morning his owner Alison became extremely worried. She went door to door asking if anyone had seen him, it was only when she had given up did she hear a cry in the back garden by the shed.

She found Bean with severe head injuries. He had been hit the day before and managed to bring himself back home for help. He was rushed to the vets to see if his life could be saved.

They managed to wire his jaw back together and did scans to see if there were any other injuries. After surgery the vets said he could go home with pain medication, if he could eat then he would stand a good chance of surviving, otherwise it would be tube feeding and his chances of surviving and having a good quality of life would be dramatically reduced.

Alison has tried her best to get him to eat and after a couple of days he has managed to eat and he is improving greatly. He has had a vet check up and they are happy with his progress, he will have to return in a few weeks for another visit to see when they can remove the wire in his mouth.

Cats sure do have 9 lives. Alison does not have pet insurance and the costs at present exceeds £1,350 with more follow up visits to come. What price do you put on a beloved family pet......in those moments of disaster you would pay all you had.

If you could help with these costs in anyway, big or small every penny will be sent towards this huge expense.
