Help Bear get a hernia repair

Hi all,
As some will know, my name is Bear and I am 37 years old. I was diagnosed with an inguinal hernia about 3 months ago, and it has steadily increased in pain ever since to the point where it is now impacting day to day tasks. As someone who was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis when I was 25 years old, and having dealt with the various ongoing mental and physical symptoms that this entails, the increasing pain and debilitating effects of the inguinal hernia on my ability to function on a daily basis have been dramatic. I have a huge amount of love for the NHS and the care it has provided for me over the years, especially with helping keeping me going, but the increase in pain and further limitations it has caused me have meant that I need to seek other options to maintain my ability to function than wait for surgery through them. I am not one to normally ask for help if I can avoid it, but this time I have to swallow my pride and ask for help. I have recently had to move, and financially -as the cost of living crisis for all has done- this leaves me with no savings and very little ability to raise the funds for this myself.
The plan would be to have surgery through The Oxford Hernia Clinic, who can be found at the link below. They offer a flat rate of £2,290. Their waiting list is 8-12 weeks, and having had a consultation with them, they are satisfied that they would be able to give me the surgery needed. Unlike the NHS, they offer a local anaesthetic surgery and because they use a less invasive method, the recovery time and ability for me to return to work would be cut in half.
Although asking for help is not something I feel comfortable doing, the impact this is having on me is enormous and I feel I have no choice but to ask for help. I appreciate you reading more than I can say.
Thanks,
Bear
