Help Beau, the Abandoned Piglet
Donation protected
Beau was found all alone in a public park mid April 2024 after being seen by other people and the park ranger for FOUR days without anyone even bothering to call animal control. He was spotted by my husband and gave me a call but I'm involved in dog rescue and know nothing about pigs. Luckily, a friend of mine has two pet pigs and she and her husband were able to help me secure Beau after a long hour of trying to gain his trust.
We believe he was one of the "Mardi Gras piglets" that was seen being given out for free by a man in a wheelbarrow. Since securing him, we've had him neutered and vaccinated at LSU vet so he can be ready to go when we find an adopter. We have had numerous people back out and it's been expensive for the foster to feed him without rescuing backing. We are asking the community to help pay for his neuter & vaccines ($411) and if we are able to fundraise over that, all of that will go directly to the pocket of the foster to help continue feeding him.
His foster has had him for a month and loves him but if giving birth soon! If anyone knows someone that is interested in adopting him or a rescue that would take him on, please reach out. Even if you can contribute a few dollars, it would be appreciated more than we can express. Thank you!!
